NIGHTTIME, SUBURBIA. Max Brickwall picks up a note in front of the burning remains of his McMansion. Some embers land on his leather jacket but he ignores them.

"We have kidnapped your wife, your parents, your children, your dog, and your guitar. Come to the Casino del Arcadia to win them back.

Max removes his sunglasses. "If that guitar is out of tune when I come get it, there'll be hell to pay."

Max crumples up the note, chews it up, and spits it out the window of his supercharged '73 Camaro, its engine roaring as he speeds down the interstate highway towards Neo Neo Vegas. Nothing stands before him but the open road and the night sky.
