my wife, Khylee, has always had a quiet obsession with swords. I think they make her feel powerful when she has often felt powerless. She has also been my knight in shining armor. For as long as we’ve been together, she has made me feel seen, heard, advocated for, and protected, including and especially from myself. She accepts me for exactly who I am and who’ve i’ve become. For that, my knight shouldn’t be without a sword. So last Christmas I bought her one. I still remember the look on her face when she first saw it. So this tune is for her, my first real ally and my very best friend
