Jredd - Edge of the Sky

Ha! Got a Sega Arcade spring track in! This time I'm going for a sort of RPG inspired loop. I imagine riding atop a dragon, soaring so high that you reach the edge of the sky and break reality causing the world to flip and invert so that the edge of the sky merges with the bottom of the sea. When you look around you see birds bellow you and whales surprisingly above you in an enclosed canopy of ocean.

The hardest part about making this track for me was the sound balance on the Sega Arcade chip and making sure it doesn't clip, plus using a string sample in the PCM channels for melody. I had to use the 20xx command and kind of tune each note and keep listening to it in order to make sure it hit the right tones and sounded good with the other channels.

This was made using Deflemask 12.1 but it is the "preview" version. I don't know if there are any differences between that and the final version because I have yet to download it.

Some things I was able to do with this tracker that may not actually be possible on the real chip was use fine panning commands to control the volume of the PCM but the format here is Deflemask tracker so if the tracker allows it I'll use it :).

Anyway, I spent a bit more time on this than I thought I would even though it's only a few patterns it loops quite well and the sounds are decently balanced. I hope you guys enjoy, and thanks in advance for listening :D.
